2013 in Pictures: February

Two months into my 2013 photo-a-day challenge and it’s getting progressively tougher to come up with new and creative shots (and I still have 10 months to go!).

By having to take a photo each day, this challenge has really highlighted how much routine is in my everyday life – I tend to do the same things, see the same things, spend my time in the same places. This is, I’m sure, most people’s reality, but it’s been a slightly uncomfortable realisation for me.

I think one reason for this is that I’m still working through the transition from living and travelling overseas for an extended period to being back in Australia. You know that life is going to be different back home – things aren’t always going to be new and exciting – but it can be a little confronting when you realise that you are well and truly in routine mode.

I’m going to make it my challenge for March to each day stray from my routine and see something, do something or be somewhere I havent before. Stay tuned next month to see how it pans out.

In the meantime, here’s February’s selection of shots…

I’m always looking for inspiration so drop me a line if you’re also doing a photo-a-day challenge.  Would love to hear from you!
